BECOME an EXPERT in the Polish-Norwegian Research Programme!

The National Centre for Research and Development as Programme Operator for the Polish-Norwegian Research Cooperation Programme invites specialists in relevant scientific,  economic and technological fields to submit their applications to the Programme expert database. The role of experts will be to evaluate project proposal submitted under the Programme.

 

The candidates are required to have skills and knowledge appropriate to the areas of activity they represent. They must also have a high level of professional experience in the public or private sector related to at least one of the following areas or activities: research in the relevant scientific or technological field, application of research results, technology transfer, innovation, international cooperation in science and technology.

 

Experts may be citizens of the European Economic Area.

 

The Programme Operator will conclude an appointment letter with each expert which will be binding the expert to the code of conduct and will establish the essential provisions regarding confidentiality and specify the description of work and conditions of payment. The experts will also be asked to sign a declaration of non-existence of conflict of interest in relation to the proposals they will be asked to evaluate.

 

The mode of evaluation of project proposals will be described in the call documents, especially in the evaluation guidelines.

 

We are looking for candidates in the following fields (described according to the Programme areas):

 

1.    Environment

  • rational use of natural resources, including rational water management
  • recycling technologies
  • technologies of new and renewable energy sources
  • technologies that impact limiting of greenhouse gases and aerosols,
  • technologies of carbon capture and storage (CCS).

2.    Climate change

  • monitoring of climate changes,
  • impact of climate changes on ecosystems and biodiversity,
  • assessment of the risk of climate changes in the context of agriculture, food production, water management
  • polar research 

3.    Health

  • lifestyle diseases
  • drugs with defined molecular structures
  • nanopharmacology
  • analytical epidemiology
  • epigenetics of lifestyle diseases
  • neurodegrading mental illnesses and addictions
  • modern diagnostics
  • modern pharmacology and regenerative medicine

4.    Social sciences

  • synergic use of resources
  • new sources of progress and competitive advantages
  • demographic changes
  • research on improvement of effectiveness of public institutions
  • migration

5.    Mainstreaming Gender Equality and Promoting Work-Life Balance:

  • recruitment, evaluation, promotion and retention policies in public and private organisations, including universities
  • organisational approaches to increase participation and career advancement in fields where one gender is under-represented
  • examination and comparison of institutional best practices in mainstreaming gender equality
  • comparison of institutional policies supporting dual career couples
  • institutional issues relating to the creation of a work/life responsive working environment
  • cultural and organisational structures promoting work/life balance, including returning schemes after career breaks
